Neuschwanstein

During one of my trips to Germany with the Navy Reserves, I took a drive down to Neuschwanstein castle. The castle itself is beautiful, and the surrounding area is wonderful as well. I think being there in August was probably a stroke of luck, because everything was green and blooming. There is a picture of one of the lakes near the castle that looks like it has gold floating in it. That is pollen, but it was more interesting than annoying. Also, small trivia... The castle is the same castle that you see in 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' and the inspiration for the Disney castle.
